I was imagining a mix of instrumental skatepunk, xmas, horror, and retro game music and I took the opportunity to try a few new plugins.

JOFX vs XMAS - A festive electronic track blending classic holiday melodies with modern beats.
Traptris - A chiptune-inspired track with a trap twist.
Carol of Bellz - A reimagined version of a holiday classic with heavy synths.

Decided that the best way to learn about synthwave music was to attempt a song-a-day when I had some time off of work.

day-1-angels - The intro is too long.
day-2-ff - You may recognize these chords. Hint at the end.
day-3-bow - I spent most of my time on this track playing with portamento credits
day-4-silence - I hope you enjoy it. Get it?
day-5-54 - This is what happens when I try to emulate Pretty Hate Machine?
day-6-sprocket - This was one of the first tracks I made. I didn't plan on releasing it but I kept thinking about it and here it is.

Dinosaur Jr inspired instrumental alternative rock.

Stompin' Grounds - I got a new guitar with single coil pickups and a whammy bar so I made a tribute to Dinosaur Jr. They're great, don't let this song dissuade you.
Creep Seen - This is a Dinosaur Jr tribute, I keep wanting to sing along even though there are no words. It feels like something is missing. I like that it feels like something is missing, I almost cut the solo but that is the whole point of a Dinosaur Jr tribute isn't it? Is it?
Moblin' Around - Tribute to one of my all-time favorite bands, Dinosaur Jr. The solo was fun, I just tried to stay in the right key and ignore the background music hoping this would make you feel like you are the problem in this situation.

drowning in fire - I'm a sucker for an over the top name. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do. Also, did you hear how tight that cha-cha-cha-cha part was? It's because I cleaned it up in post, sounds cool though right?
bScaryOrWhatever - Are you scared yet? You will be. You will be.
the skars to prove it - This was just an excuse to try to play bass like The Unicorns. Also, you can tell this is a real ska song because it has "ska" right in the title.
the storm before the storm (of fire) - 80's inspired take on a droning gothic pop punk song. (Imagine "ish" after every one of those words please)

i told you so - This is Outlaw's fault for reminding me how cool harmonizing can be
the skabyss gazes also - Battle not with skmonsters, lest ye become a skmonster
salted wounds - This song is about a song that you're working on, and you like some parts of it but maybe not the whole thing but at this point you really just want to call it done, and besides, it's probably fine. Maybe.
